Hi Nigar,
How are you? I'm fine, and I love my new school in Kars! Our headmaster is Mr Yalçın. He is very kind. My English teacher is Ms Demir. She is friendly, and her lessons are fun.
My school has a big library, a science lab and a sports field. I eat my lunch in the canteen with my new friend, Elif. Elif and I are in the chess club. We play chess in the library after lessons.
We have some rules at school. We mustn't run in the corridors, and we can't use our phones in the lessons.
In Türkiye, 29 October is Republic Day. At our school, we celebrate it with songs and a folk dance show.

Our National Days
Hi! I'm Kerem, and I'm a student at Gazi Lower Secondary School in Samsun. In Türkiye, we celebrate our national days with joy. 23 April is National Sovereignty and Children's Day. It is a special day for children. On this day, children from different countries come to Türkiye. 19 May is Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. This day is very important for my city. People in Samsun have big celebrations on 19 May. 30 August is Victory Day. 29 October is Republic Day. It is the birthday of our Republic. At school, we sing songs and read poems for Republic Day. I love our national days!
